The Republic of the Congo, also called Congo-Léopoldville or simply the Congo, is a country in Central Africa. It borders the Central African Republic to the north and northwest, the Kingdom of Egypt to the northeast, British Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and British Tanganyika to the east, Northern Rhodesia to the southeast and south, Portuguese Angola to the southwest and the Republic of Middle-Congo to the west. It is a member of the Organization of Free Nations.
