The Trucial States (Italian: Stati della Tregua) is a group of tribal confederations to the south of the Persian Gulf. It consists of Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and Bahrain, which signed truces with the United Kingdom between 1820 and 1892, which have been inherited by Italy in the aftermath of World War II and remained largely unchanged. As protectorates of Italy, the Trucial States are a member of the Triumvirate.
