Puyi (also known as the Kangde Emperor) is the Emperor of Manchuria and was the last Emperor of China from the Qing dynasty. He reigned as the Xuantong Emperor from 1908, until his forced abdication on February 12, 1912 after the Xinhai Revolution.

After the Japanese invasion of Manchuria in 1932, the Empire of Manchuria was established by Japan and he was chosen to become "Emperor" of the new state.
