Austria
Austria (German: Österreich) is one of the warlord states that break away from Germany during the SS Civil War under the rule of Otto Skorzeny, who has decided to stay neutral in the war. Skorzeny has brought his elite Commandos, who have served him for more than twenty years, from Burgundy to Vienna, and has no interest in raising more. For unknown reasons, Skorzeny has refused to purge the Heer units in his territory and instead recruit them, but this also comes with the adverse side effect of relying on troops may not be loyal to Skorzeny.
Despite its name, the state is in no way a continuation of any previous Austrian identity, nor does it claim to be.
In-Game
During the SS Civil War, which can be triggered if Reinhard Heydrich wins the German Civil War, the infamous Austro-German commando Otto Skorzeny will establish a provisional government in Austria. Ultimately, this government will face inevitable obliteration in the German Collapse.
