In real-life, Karim Sanjabi was also a member of Mohammad Mosaddegh's cabinet, although unlike in TNO, he was a cultural minister in Mosaddegh's government. Although his career in TNO may be a reference to how he was later the minister of foreign affairs under Mehdi Bazargan, the last prime minister prior to Iran becoming the Islamic republic it is today.
