The New Zealand National Party is Centre-Right and Paternalistic Conservative Ruling Party in New Zealand. It came to power in the 1960 General election following the Reforms led by party leader and Now prime minister Keith Holyoake. The Party promotes closer ties to the OFN and united states as well as strong national defence to combat Japan. Whilst the party is conservative it promotes some Progressive ideas such as the Abolition of Capitol Punishment and greater Maori rights.
