Oleksandr Yakovych Shumskyi (born 2nd December 1890) is a Ukrainian politician who has led the underground government of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic since the fall of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Before this, he led the communist Ukrainian Borotbists movement and served as People's Commissar for Education.
