Republic of Lithuania
The Republic of Lithuania was a country that was first established after its' independence in the midst of the outbreak of World War 1 and the Russian Civil War. The country had to fight against the Bermontians and Bolsheviks, then the Lithuanians managed to defend their nation from the invaders. However, they lost Vilnius to the Polish forces in 1920. But thankfully, gaining full access to the seas after the Memel revolt. As the Second World War broke out, Lithuania and its' Baltic brothers witnessed both the Soviets and Germans invading the Polish. Before the invasion, Lithuania ceded Memel to the Germans. As 1940 approached, the Soviets occupied the Baltics, later annexing them.
1941 came, thousands of Estonians, Lithuanians and Latvians were deported by trains towards the cold areas of Siberia, those who remained in their country, would witness the worst. The Germans invade the Soviet Union, the Baltic states were fully occupied and now under the Reichkommisariat Ostland. In the process, most of Lithuania's culture was subjugated into German, it seems Lithuania is lost... possibly forever...
