Charles Huntziger (born 25th June 1880) is a French field marshal and president of the French State.
Political career
Huntziger was a prominent French military officer who supported Marshal Philippe Pétain during the German invasion of France. He held a high rank in the Vichy government, and after the Marshal's death became leader of the French State, taking the title of President instead of Chief of State, and appointed Jean-Louis Tixier-Vignancour as Prime Minister.
