George VI was the King of the United Kingdom, Emperor of India, head of the British Commonwealth and King of the various Colonies, Territories and Dominions of the former British Empire. He continued to claim the title of King of Great Britain after the installation of his brother, Edward VIII as the King of the German-aligned Kingdom of England until his death in 1952. Where upon his Daughter and heir, Elizabeth II, became the primary claimant as heir apparent.
