Henry A. Wallace is an American politician and a candidate in the 1944 American presidential election against the Republican Thomas E. Dewey and the Democrat James A. Farley. He lost the election, receiving 1 electoral votes and 5,296,072 votes.

Trivia

A close supporter of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Henry A. Wallace was his Secretary of Agriculture from 1933 to 1940, Vice President from 1941 to 1945 and then Secretary of Commerce in 1945 and under Harry Truman until 1946. Without success, he ran for president in 1948. Henry Wallace died in 1965.
