The National Republican Greek League (Ethnikós Dimokratikós Ellinikós Sýndesmos) better known as the EDES, is one of the main resistance organizations operating within the Hellenic State. Founded in 1941, they have been one of the major militant opposition forces against Georgios Themelis's fascist government and Italian authority over Greece.
