Barend Willem Biesheuvel (born 5 April 1920) is a Dutch politician and leader of the Amsterdam Group, a reformist faction within the National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands (NSB).

Early Life

Barend Biesheuvel was born on 5 April 1920 in Haarlemmerliede in the Province of North Holland in a Reformed family, the son of Arie Biesheuvel and Johanna Margaretha "Antje" Troost. Biesheuvel had three brothers and two sisters. During his 20s, Biefheuvel would bare witness to the German invasion of the Netherlands and subsequent incorperation into the Reich as the Reichskommissariat Niederlande. Eventually, he would graduate with a Masters of Law degree from the Amsterdam University, once it had been re-opened by the Germans.

Political career

After his graduation, Biesheavel joined the NSB and became a civil servant for the Dutch section of the Reichskommissariat administration, serving the Ministry for Food and Agriculture. His political career began to expand, and he soon found himself leading the reformist Amster Group inside the NSB.

In-game

After the outbreak of the German Civil War and the death of Arthur Seyss-Inquart, Biesheuvel can succeed him as the leader of the Netherlands, reforming the Reichskommissariat into the Dutch State if he chooses to instill a civilian dictatorship or the Netherland in the case of a anocracy, hoping to rule the Netherlands as a benevolent dictator or to bring a return to democracy respectively.

Should either Martin Bormann or Albert Speer emerge victorious in the Civil War, Bieheuvel will realize that the Netherlands could not withstand a second German invasion and choose to peacefully rejoin the Reich, in exchange for outlawing slavery, allowing some trade unions to exsist, and greater autonomy for the Netherlands.
