Gotenland is a Gau of the Greater Germanic Reich located in the Crimean peninsula and southern Ukraine, which is under direct German administration, a land Hitler envisioned as a fully Germanized "German Gibraltar". It's bordered to the north by Reichskommissariat Ukraine and to the east by Reichskommissariat Kaukasien. When the German Civil War begins, it is cut off from Germania, becoming a country for gameplay purposes. If any faction other than the RK wins the Ukrainian Civil War, it will try to reclaim Gotenland as well, though Ukrainian hold on it can only last until Germany comes back to reassert order on Ukraine.

Trivia

• Under German rule, the city of Sevastopol was renamed Theodoricshafen after the Ostrogothic king Theodoric the Great. Other cities that have been christened with new names include Simferopol (Gotenburg), Kerch (Schreckstadt), Melitopol (Ost-Berlin), Kalanchak (Richthofen) and Yevpatoria (9. November Stadt).
