Réal Caouette is a Canadian politician, the current leader of the Social Credit Party of Canada and a potential Prime minister of the Dominion of Canada.

  • Réal Caouette was a Canadian politician who was a member of parliament from 1946 to 1949 and from 1962 to 1976. He was also the leader of the Social Credit Party from 1971 to 1976. Réal Caouette was known for his populism and his many polemical statements such as when he proclaimed Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler to be his political heroes. He died of a stroke in 1976.
