The Democratic Party is a major political party in the United States. Alongside the Republican Party, it is part of the Republican-Democratic Coalition, representing the American political establishment.

Beliefs and Policies

The Democratic Party's two major factions are the Labor Democrats, who want a strong, progressive and socially responsible government to regulate business and support the citizens of the United States, and the Southern Democrats, who advocate for white supremacy and racial segregation under the guise of states' rights.
