Sverdlovsk, officially the Ural Military District, is a Russian warlord state located in western Siberia. It borders Yugra and the Free Aviators to the north, Tyumen to the south and Zlatoust to the west.

History

Sverdlovsk is a military junta led by famous Red Army commander, Konstantin Rokossovsky and his 3rd Army. Retreating away from the advancing Germans as the Soviet Union collapsed, his army found themselves welcomed in open arms by Joseph Stalin's newly founded West Siberian People's Republic. His army, always loyal to the motherland, would go on to fight in the West Russian War.

After Stalin's death, Rokossovsky refused to listen to his successor Lazar Kaganovich and broke off with the 3rd Army. The relations between the generals and leadership of West Siberia had always remained a tense and bitter one. All competing for different visions of a reunited motherland. This coupled with the constant strain coming from the continuing Luftwaffe aerial raids. As the relations between generals could not be mended, Dmitry Karbyshev, seeing Kaganovich's state as a sinking ship, took the opportunity to seize the city of Omsk with his newly founded ultranationalist Russian Black League. Disillusioned by Kaganovich's inaction towards this, Rokossovsky quickly used the opportunity to gather his 3rd army and take control of the city of Sverdlovsk and surrounding areas. It was here that a provisional military government would be founded. Despite his disdain towards his former leadership in Tyumen, he never lost his loyalty to the motherland, even if it will be driven by a strong and impartial military, guided in the historical strengths of Russian and Soviet art of war, serving the workers of Russia. Despite the use of Soviet iconography and titles, the junta isn't awfully concerned with continuing socialist policies.

However, the harsh service and old age has taken its toll on Rokossovsky's health and he knows that he may not live long enough to see the Red Army marching through Moscow again, he can count on his close friends and military allies to continue his vision of reuniting the motherland. Pavel Batov, a close friend and military aide to Rokossovsky, is the individual who will assume leadership of the 3rd army once Rokossovsky dies.
