Iraqi Republic

The Iraqi Republic is an Italian client state, which is largely independent from their domestic influence. The area of Mosul, which previously belonged to Iraq, is occupied by Turkey. The country is a member of the Triumvirate.

In-game

At the start of the game, the Republic will be under the control of Italy, and remain as such until near the end of the first decade. Shortly before the Oil Crisis, the country will break out into a civil war, consisting of five sides - the Ba'athists, led by Ahmed Hassan al-Bakr; the Islamists, led by Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei; a provisional government aiming to return the country to the control of Italy; and the Republic of Iraq, led by Abd al-Rahman al-Bazzaz; and if Iraq got back Mosul by winning the border war in Second Italo-Turkish War or if Italy pick Scorza's peace deal the Kurds will rise up led by Mustafa Barzan.
