The Kingdom of Egypt (Italian: Regno d'Egitto, Arabic: المملكة المصرية) is an Italian puppet state in North Africa. It is bordered by Italian Libya to the west, the Governorate of the Levant to the east, Italian East Africa to the south-east, RK Zentralafrika and RK Ostafrika to the south, and the Cameroon African State and the State of Kanem to the south-west.

Italy has direct control of the Suez Canal. Due to its state as a puppet of Italy, Egypt is part of the Triumvirate and Italian Sphere.

Egypt's government is a constitutional monarchy under King Farouk I and Prime Minister Mostafa El-Nahas. Farouk has proven to be an ineffective and corrupt leader with very little interest in ruling his country, instead leaving that role to his advisors. His time as the king has seen the attempted 1956 Independence Revolution that was crushed by the Italians and his rule continues to be troubled by rising anti-Italian and anti-monarchy sentiment.

Politics

After Farouk's death, Prime Minister Mostafa El-Nahas will retire from politics. The ensuing election can be won by the Wafd Party (led by Fuad Serragedine) or the Muslim Brotherhood (led by Hassan al-Hudaybi), or Mohammed Naguib can lead the Free Officers Movement to take over the government by coup.
