The West Russian Revolutionary Front (WRRF) is one of the remnant warlords of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics located in Russia, It borders Onega to the west, the Arctic Ocean to the north, Vorkuta to the east, along with Komi Republic, Vologda, and Order of Saint George to the south. They also may be considered the most legitimate claimant to the governorship of the defunct Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, due to their history, leadership, and powerful military capabilities. As such, the WRRF is one of the most powerful warlords in the Russian Anarchy.

Throughout the late 1940s, the Red Army carried on. The Germans thought the Soviet Union was broken, consigned to the dustbin of history. Throughout the decade, the Red Army plotted and prepared. Throughout Russia and Central Asia, men and women alike united for a great attempt to push back the enemy.

In the West Russian War, the Germans suffered defeat after defeat as the armies of the workers marched west. But at the height of their success, the Red Army was betrayed by their own people. Collaborators of the ROA and Tsarist forces helped the Germans turn the tide, while at the same time deep behind the Front's line, revolt after revolt sprang up as demagogues preached the end of the Soviet Union.

Now, the nation forged in Lenin's revolutionary flame has been reduced to a few scraps of frozen land. Veterans of twenty years of endless warfare barely manage to hold the Front's possessions south of the Arctic Circle. The Front lost contact with every other remnant of the Red Army, pushed back as they were in Central Asia and Siberia. Within the WRRF's own borders, starving refugees barely have enough calories to maintain the Front's rusting industrial center. Military officers squabble with one another, reflecting the disunity that proved fatal in the West Russian War.
